GEN 1:3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was
light. Most people believe that God spoke and His speaking
created. Another thought is that God spoke what He wanted and
beings under His authority created according to His will. I
lean heavily toward the latter. Yhwh's Kingdom is built upon
authority.
MAT 8:8 The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy
that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word
only, and my servant shall be healed.
MAT 8:9 For I am a man under authority, having soldiers under
me: and I say to this [man], Go, and he goeth; and to another,
Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth
[it].
MAT 8:10 When Jesus heard [it], he marvelled, and said to them
that followed, Verily I say unto you, I have not found so
great faith, no, not in Israel.
The biblical penalty for rebellion to proper authority is
death. 1SA 15:23 For rebellion [is as] the sin
of witchcraft, and stubbornness [is as] iniquity and idolatry.
Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, he hath also
rejected thee from [being] king. JER 28:16 Therefore
thus saith the LORD; Behold, I will cast thee from off the
face of the earth: this year thou shalt die, because thou hast
taught rebellion against the LORD. LUK 19:27
But those mine enemies, which would not that I
should reign over them, bring hither, and slay [them]
before me. Having a Righteous ruler is a blessing. PRO 29:2 When the righteous are in authority, the people
rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.
We are commanded to be in submission to proper authority.
1CR 11:3 But I would have you know, that the head
of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman [is]
the man; and the head of Christ [is] God. Looking at
this verse, where does Government fall?
ISA 33:22 For the LORD [is] our judge, the LORD [is]
our lawgiver, the LORD [is] our king; he will save us. In
Yhwh's Kingdom He is our Government. The government of man's
kingdom is a creation of man and therefore must be in
submission to man. The "government" is required to be in
submission to Yhwh's laws just like man.
1SA 12:14 If ye will fear the LORD, and serve him,
and obey his voice, and not rebel against the commandment of
the LORD, then shall both ye and also the king that reigneth
over you continue following the LORD your God: The creator
(man) is above that which he creates (government). As such God
holds us men responsible for the created governments sins
1CH 21:14 So the LORD sent pestilence upon Israel: and
there fell of Israel seventy thousand men. There is some
debate about women wearing head coverings but I believe the
true meaning of being covered has to do with the covering of
authority. 1CR 11:3 But I would have you know, that
the head of every man is Christ; and the head of
the woman [is] the man; and the head of Christ [is]
God. 1CR 11:4 Every man praying or prophesying,
having [his] head covered, dishonoureth his head. If a man
has covering over him He dishonors his head. If a man has a
priest or prophet or a government over him he dishonors Christ
who is his head. likewise a woman that prays without her
husband over her dishonors her husband. 1CR 11:5 But
every woman that prayeth or prophesieth with [her] head
uncovered dishonoureth her head: for that is even all one as
if she were shaven. A woman's head was shaven when she lost
her coverage. DEU 21:12 Then thou shalt bring her
home to thine house; and she shall shave her head,
and pare her nails; 1CR 11:15 But if a woman have
long hair, it is a glory to her: for [her] hair is given her
for a covering. A woman's hair tells of her submission to
her coverage. Today women walk around with rebellious spirits
and cropped hair. 1CR 11:6 For if the woman be not
covered, let her also be shorn: but if it be a shame for a
woman to be shorn or shaven, let her be covered. 1CR 11:7
For a man indeed ought not to cover [his] head, forasmuch
as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the
glory of the man. Men under the authority of Christ are
given authority over man's government, the women under their
coverage (wives, children), demons, and even Satan. EPH
5:23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as
Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the
body. EPH 5:24 Therefore as the church is subject
unto Christ, so [let] the wives [be] to their own husbands in
every thing. 1TI 2:12 But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp
authority over the man, but to be in silence.
ROM 16:20 And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your
feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ [be] with
you. Amen.
LUK 9:1 Then he called his twelve disciples together, and gave
them power and authority over all devils, and to cure
diseases. False Churches like to preach against our judging,
and while they are correct we need to be careful when we
judge, we are told in God's word that in our positions of
authority in Christ we will judge
1CR 6:3 Know ye not that we shall judge
angels? how much more things that pertain to this life?
If Christ who is the head of men judges men, Then do men who
are women's head judge them? 2SA 6:16 And as the ark of the LORD came into the city of
David, Michal Saul's daughter looked through a window, and saw
king David leaping and dancing before the LORD; and she
despised him in her heart.
2SA 6:20 Then David returned to bless his household. And Michal the daughter of Saul came out to meet David, and said,
How glorious was the king of Israel to day, who uncovered
himself to day in the eyes of the handmaids of his servants,
as one of the vain fellows shamelessly uncovereth himself!
2SA 6:21 And David said unto Michal, [It was] before the LORD,
which chose me before thy father, and before all his house, to
appoint me ruler over the people of the LORD, over Israel:
therefore will I play before the LORD.
2SA 6:22 And I will yet be more vile than thus, and will be
base in mine own sight: and of the maidservants which thou
hast spoken of, of them shall I be had in honour.
2SA 6:23 Therefore Michal the daughter of Saul had no child
unto the day of her death.
A Kingdom depends upon proper authority and the punishment
of rebellion. EST 1:9 Also Vashti the queen made a feast for the women [in]
the royal house which [belonged] to king Ahasuerus.
EST 1:10 On the seventh day, when the heart of the king was
merry with wine, he commanded Mehuman, Biztha, Harbona, Bigtha,
and Abagtha, Zethar, and Carcas, the seven chamberlains that
served in the presence of Ahasuerus the king,
EST 1:11 To bring Vashti the queen before the king with the
crown royal, to shew the people and the princes her beauty:
for she [was] fair to look on.
EST 1:12 But the queen Vashti refused to come at the king's
commandment by [his] chamberlains: therefore was the king very
wroth, and his anger burned in him.
EST 1:13 Then the king said to the wise men, which knew the
times, (for so [was] the king's manner toward all that knew
law and judgment:
EST 1:14 And the next unto him [was] Carshena, Shethar,
Admatha, Tarshish, Meres, Marsena, [and] Memucan, the seven
princes of Persia and Media, which saw the king's face, [and]
which sat the first in the kingdom;)
EST 1:15 What shall we do unto the queen Vashti according to
law, because she hath not performed the commandment of the
king Ahasuerus by the chamberlains?
EST 1:16 And Memucan answered before the king and the princes,
Vashti the queen hath not done wrong to the king only, but
also to all the princes, and to all the people that [are] in
all the provinces of the king Ahasuerus.
EST 1:17 For [this] deed of the queen shall come abroad unto
all women, so that they shall despise their husbands in their
eyes, when it shall be reported, The king Ahasuerus commanded
Vashti the queen to be brought in before him, but she came
not.
EST 1:18 [Likewise] shall the ladies of Persia and Media say
this day unto all the king's princes, which have heard of the
deed of the queen. Thus [shall there arise] too much contempt
and wrath.
EST 1:19 If it please the king, let there go a royal
commandment from him, and let it be written among the laws of
the Persians and the Medes, that it be not altered, That Vashti come no more before king Ahasuerus; and let the king
give her royal estate unto another that is better than she.
EST 1:20 And when the king's decree which he shall make shall
be published throughout all his empire, (for it is great,) all
the wives shall give to their husbands honour, both to great
and small.
EST 1:21 And the saying pleased the king and the princes; and
the king did according to the word of Memucan:
EST 1:22 For he sent letters into all the king's provinces,
into every province according to the writing thereof, and to
every people after their language, that every man should bear
rule in his own house, and that [it] should be published
according to the language of every people.
EST 2:1 After these things, when the wrath of king Ahasuerus
was appeased, he remembered Vashti, and what she had done, and
what was decreed against her.
EST 2:2 Then said the king's servants that ministered unto
him, Let there be fair young virgins sought for the king:
EST 2:3 And let the king appoint officers in all the provinces
of his kingdom, that they may gather together all the fair
young virgins unto Shushan the palace, to the house of the
women, unto the custody of Hege the king's chamberlain, keeper
of the women; and let their things for purification be given
[them]:
Note that the king's servants understood how destructive it
would be to allow the king to go back on his decree and bring
Vashti back. |
